As a speaker, the security chief inspector and the First Class Police Chief, Ahmet Sula, attended the conference titled “Youth, Consciousness, Self-Confidence and Communication” organized by Malatya Turgut Özal University and Malatya Provincial Police Department within the scope of “Career and Brand Talks”.
Rector Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay Karabulut, deputy mayors, academic and administrative staff and students attended the event took place in the conference room at Battalgazi campus.
Rector Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay Karabulut, who started her speech by commemorating the security officials who died in Elazığ and Malatya in the January 24 earthquake, in the avalanche disaster in the province of Van, in cross-border operations in the defense of our country, and the deceased citizens, noted that the unity and solidarity revealed after the earthquake are very important.
– Students will be admittted to the three faculty.
Rector Prof. Dr. Karabulut said, “We are a university that is sensitive to cultural, social and social issues as well as academic and research activities. While conducting scientific studies, we cannot be insensitive to communal and social developments. While hosting TÜBİTAK, ASELSAN and Turkish Patent Institution Presidents at our university, we hosted many scientific, cultural and social panels and events. We are an open university without 4 walls and a city university with a vocational college in 8 districts. We are about to complete our preparatory work to accept students to the Faculties of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Business and Management and Art, Design and Architecture for the next academic year. In September, students will come to our three faculties. Yeşilyurt Vocational School will operate in its own building again in the next academic year.”
– “Every scientific subject is freely discussed”
In her first message, which she gave as she began her tenure as university rector on September 10, 2018, she said: “Malatya Turgut Özal University will keep ranks on the side of its state and its nation in this challenging process.” Repeating these words one more time, Rector Prof. Dr. Karabulut reminded ” Universities, of course, are free environments. Scientific studies are done freely, of course. Within the framework of responsibility, every scientific subject is freely discussed. You can freely carry out any scientific work in our laboratories. But in universities, treason has no freedom, treason has its price.” quoth.
– “There is now lifelong learning.
Prof. Dr. Karabulut “ ” there is now lifelong learning. It is no longer enough for us to prepare our young people just for the first stage of the profession. New technologies are constantly changing our lives. International changes are directly affecting our daily lives. Therefore, it is inevitable that we will raise a youth who is not detached from local values, but who knows and follows universal values well. Every work we do for our students will shine a light on us. We will observe the reflection of the effort we showed today into tomorrow. We have to produce at the same time. If the work we do turns into benefit in society, then you become a real university,” she said.
– “We are killing children’s imagination”
The security chief inspector and the First Class Police Chief, Ahmet Sula ” if a man is happy and lives to be useful to people, who is the best of the people, that man’s life will also be meaningful in death. Pablo Picasso says, ‘every child is born as an artist’the problem is that he can stay an artist while he grows up’. But what are we doing? ‘My daughter got 80 point, next time I’m waiting for 90, my son solved 40 questions, that guy solved 80, another solved 200.’Like a racehorse. After that we kill the imaginations of these children, like machine-robot, just the world and the career. We’re losing our children, our human beings.” quoth.
– “Sons of the blessed land and ancient civilization”
The security chief inspector and the First Class Police Chief, Ahmet Sula, who made a video presentation about the July 15 treacherous coup attempt, said: “Lore is knowing one’s own self. They put lore on one side of the scale and science on the other but the lore was heavy. Many doctors who do not know themselves are in the organ mafia, many commanders and managers are in the prostitution mafia. Why? Because there was science, wind, status, but no lore. ” he spoke.
Sula, who wanted the young people to know and remember the blessings of the lands they lived and the ancient civilization they belonged to, said, “I advise not to look at ourselves, but to the baby of our eyes one day. I did it. At first, I asked myself the question, I said, “Who are you son, what are you looking for in this universe?” Likewise, “Who are you girl, what are you looking for in this universe?” My inner journey began with this question. I saw that Adam’s most important journey was not to the outside, to space, to Mars or whatever, but to himself. And we have made the nearest to him the farthest. Think big, ask God, but work.
At the end of the conference, When Rector Prof. Dr. Karabulut presented a plaque to the security chief inspector and the First Class Police Chief, Ahmet Sula, she also presented her own book, “There is life in nature”. Prof. Dr. Karabulut gave Sula a gift of potted flowers that the students had grown.
