E-graduation ceremony and e-concert were held


Within the scope of the fight against Covid-19 at Malatya Turgut Özal University (MTÜ), this year’s graduation ceremony took place in the form of e-graduation and e-concert through the University’s Distance Education System. The memorial corner was created due to the death of Doğanşehir Mayor Vahap Küçük, who donated to the university and gave scholarships to students, and the artist Yavuz Bingöl gave an e-concert.
Malatya Turgut Özal University 2019 – 2020 Academic Year graduation ceremony and Yavuz Bingöl concert took place over the Distance Education Application and Research Center (MTÜ-UZEM) due to the measures taken within the scope of the fight against Covid-19. 7 students from Malatya and 2 students outside Malatya attended the ceremony held in the conference hall and only academic managers attended.
Rector Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay Karabulut started his speech by commemorating the martyrs and veterans, and the philanthropist person the Mayor of Doğanşehir Mayor Vahap Küçük who passed away last week and Darende Bekir Ilıcak Vocational School student Enes Yiğit, who died in a traffic accident.
Rector Prof Dr Aysun Bay Karabulut stated that they were organizing e-graduation and e-concert due to the measures and struggles regarding the Covid-19 outbreak. This year we are graduating 576 students. About 1.5 years have passed since September 2018, when our university started its educational and academic activities. First of all, I would like to thank our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who provided the establishment of our university here, and everyone who contributed. I would like to thank all our institutions, deputies and mayors in Malatya. Again, I would like to thank my Malatya nationals who own the university and continue their support in every field. ”.

Rector Prof Dr Karabulut said, “When our university was just 2 years old, we also established the Faculty of Medicine. Our Faculty of Medicine, whose founding law was published on June 16, 2020, is an important achievement not only for our university but also for Malatya and our region. Malatya has made a very important progress in terms of health as the center of the region. Malatya Turgut Özal University Faculty of Medicine will act with its own mission and vision in areas that are not present but not present, which are felt and needed.
